A sexy category romance novella from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…

He’s looking for love. She’s looking for trouble…

As a successful doctor and weekend cowboy, Chase Cooper enjoys a full life with plenty of female company. But lately, something hasn’t felt right. He’s been distracted. Antsy. Damn it, he’s been lonely. With an eye on settling down with a nice girl, Coop invites his high school best friend down to his ranch to see if maybe she’s the one for him…

Instead, her twin sister shows up. The one who loathes him.

Julia Blair is already halfway to Coop’s ranch when she learns the invitation wasn’t for her, but her vivacious twin sister. She has two choices: slink back home, or see just how far this farce will go. One glance at hotter-than-sin Coop, and she knows she’s playing a dangerously hot game. Because what this cowboy wants, this cowboy gets…

Previously released on Entangled’s Flaunt imprint as Cowboy’s Way – November 2013 and has been enhanced with new material.

This short, sweet and sexy read combines a touch of second chances with a hint of opposites attract and a whole heap of the one that got away.

Julia and her twin have always been a complete cliché – her sister Mari is beautiful and outgoing, now an international swimsuit model, while Julia was the quiet, studious one who became a hardworking lawyer (and identical, but perception is everything). However, when an invitation arrives from a secret admirer, Julia can’t help being curious. Which leads her onto a plane without any luggage, and right into the embarrassing realisation that the Ms Blair on the invitation wasn’t actually her.

Except Coop’s not unhappy with the mix up. In fact he’s delighted. His best friends might have cooked up the scheme to invite old flames to their ranch to see if anything still exists between them, but Coop has regretted inviting his teenage best friend ever since he sent the letter. Because there never was anything between him and Mari, despite the rumours, and it was always Julia he wanted. Now Julia’s here and there’s nothing holding him back. Except a slight confusion and a pile of insecurities, but who can truly resist a sexy cowboy and a week-long fantasy getaway?

I enjoyed this one. It’s pure brain candy without anything too demanding. Coop is lovely – sexy, strong and with a few sad secrets that gave this story a little unexpected depth, even if the emotional engagement doesn’t quite match – and Julia is fun too when she lets go of her insecure ideas about herself. The pair of them have great chemistry, and although things change a bit sharply (the pool scene in particular) it’s only a short read, so I can forgive a reduction in angst.

It’s short, it’s sexy, it has sweet moments and plenty of chemistry. If you need something easy to unwind after a hard day or just need some brain candy to indulge in – this is a good bet. Especially if you like hot cowboys. I look forward to seeing how the plan unfolds in the next one.
