Trapped in her own body, she-dragon, Stella Montrose has no choice but to find her mate. Whether he likes it or not, he either has to claim her, or set her free, otherwise she’ll lose the ability to shift. Sounds simple, only, every time she gets near him, he disappears.

When Brycen Conners signs on to protect an annoying human woman, he never imagined he’d cross paths with his mate. Once the job is done, he’ll do whatever it takes to win her heart. Until then, he has to stay away.

This is an enjoyable, short, Paranormal Romance with plenty of dragons and lots of sex. I found it an easy read right from the start when Stella’s in the woods attempting to track her mate down.

However, it’s pretty light on details. It might have been nice to have known just what Brycen was doing out in the woods guarding that woman in the first place (from what? And why did it have to be him?), and I also got a little confused about Stella – Had she ever turned into a dragon before? If not, why not? How did she know he was her mate? How did she know about releasing him, since she seemed not to know so many other dragon things? It might also have been nice to have known a bit more about how dragons fit into the world, ’cause clearly there’s some conflict going on.

So it’s not perfect, and I was left uncertain whether I’d come in mid-series or not. However, if you’re looking for a quick, sexy Paranormal read and you like dragons, then this definitely ticks those boxes. It’s quick and fun and I enjoyed it. I think I’ll have to take a look at what else this author has to offer – especially if it involves more dragons.
