This book and I just did not click. Mostly because I don’t have the patience to read about a timid heroine who cannot do anything without a man’s help, even though she’s been widowed for three years and is raising two young children without any help!
Besides that, there was nothing else that made me want to keep reading. Normally with a novella I’d push on regardless because it’s short and quick to get through, but this just failed to grab me and I simply had no interest in finding out what happened next. The blurb seems to tell me most of it anyway (I’ve only posted part of it above).
Sadly, this one was not for me.
The Stranger Next Door is Out Now.
