Title: Right Billionaire, Wrong Wedding
Author: Victoria Davies
Series: Sexy Billionaire
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: Short novel
Darian King has never met a challenge he couldn’t handle. Running a billion-dollar corporation? Piece of cake. Hostile takeovers? A walk in the park. But when his little sister begs him to plan her wedding, Darian finds himself less than prepared for the task. Luckily, he knows just who to ask for help.
Allison Reed wants nothing more than to leave King Enterprises behind. Being the personal assistant to a man like Darian is a 24/7 job. Asking her to help plan a wedding is simply the icing on the stress-filled cake but to leave she needs a glowing reference and will do anything to get it. Even plan a wedding with the man of her dreams.
Stepping outside the office has unexpected consequences. Darian doesn’t believe in relationships, yet he’s starting to see Allison in a whole new light. But he doesn’t know her secret, and she fears that by the time the vows are exchanged, she won’t just be leaving her job behind but her heart as well.

This sexy office romance did everything I wanted it to. Darian is rich, smart and a little oblivious when it comes to romance, while Allison is capable, competent and smart enough to run his life and steal his heart without either of them noticing.
Darian is driven and determined, has a no commitments rule and is devoted to his sister. He takes Allison completely for granted, knowing that she’s an indispensable part of his life, without ever really showing his appreciation for all she does. Despite occasionally feeling a spark of attraction towards her, he’s also keen not to step over the line because he doesn’t want to lose her. Then comes the request that he organise his sister’s wedding and, well, you can guess where things head from here.
Allison is determined to leave Darian because she wants a life beyond work, but she can’t find the courage to tell him. She doesn’t want to lose him from her life, but she knows outside of work they have no relationship. So she agrees to organise the wedding as one last favour, without telling him that she’ll be leaving after.
Their relationship is pretty hot, and they make an excellent team. But of course things are far from smooth between them. Darian has issues and Allison is keeping a secret. This book is not full of surprises, you can probably guess what happens, although I do feel there could have been a few more apologies on both sides.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this. It’s everything I’d expect from this sub-genre with plenty of heat as well. If this sort of office romance is your escapism-fodder of choice, then you should definitely find plenty to enjoy here. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more from this series of sexy billionaires.
