In this all-new novella in the New York Times bestselling series, Hunter and Gretchen are finally tying the knot—but their wedding may not be the easy fairy tale they’ve dreamed of…
Someone’s out to ruin Gretchen’s happy-ever-after on the eve before the big day. Can she trust Hunter, the man she’s given her heart to? And can she rely on her sister Daphne (the least reliable person of all!) to help her salvage things? Or is this marriage going to go down in flames before Gretchen and Hunter ever get to the altar?
Includes a sneak peek of Dirty Money, first in Clare’s brand new Roughneck Billionaires series.

This little novella has a lot of work to do. Gretchen’s wedding has finally arrived, tying up not one but two series in the process. Yup, the Billionaire Boys Club and Billionaires and Bridesmaids are finally coming to an end, and it’s everyone’s favourite foul-mouthed heroine and secretive (and secretly romantic) hero finally getting hitched. At Christmas, because why not? Plus wild-child Daphne is about to get brought back into the fold.
And that’s where it went a little wrong for me. I loved seeing Gretchen again and her constant meltdowns over the food and the house and everything going wrong with her wedding, mostly because it was funny and provided a really lovely moment between her and Hunter, which is always great to read. And that would have been enough for me. A bit of humour, some last-minute dramas and a few cute and tender moments between these two was what I was expecting (along with some hot and sexy times, which sadly didn’t happen).
Except Daphne comes back. Which is great and all and I loved seeing her connect with her sisters again, but she also has a romance with probably the least interesting hero I’ve come across in a while, with no chemistry and even less interest. It felt like a missed opportunity to me, crammed in at the last minute because this series was going to end and all the loose ends had to be tied up, right here, right now.
So it’s okay. It was great to finally see all of Gretchen’s stress and panic come to fruition, while Hunter is just adorable. Fans of the series (both of them) will certainly enjoy this. But Daphne… meh. The romance didn’t really work for me, because there wasn’t any space for her hero to have any personality, and it felt like a bit of a letdown given everything she’s done and gone through over the books. Overall, it’s quick, cute read that’s a little more tame than expected, but mostly an enjoyable send off to a great bunch of characters.
Beauty and the Billionaire: The Wedding is out November 15th.
