A sexy new M/M romance from New York Times Bestselling author Tessa Bailey
When CEO Renner Bastion walks into a room, everyone keeps their distance. Well, everyone but the sarcastic, tattooed, Boston-bred security guard whose presence has kept Renner in New Jersey longer than intended. As if the unwanted attraction isn’t unsettling enough, Renner finds out his protector isn’t as unavailable as originally thought.
Milo Bautista just came out to his wealthy, ultra-confident boss, a man he secretly respects and admires…in more ways than he’ll admit. Worldly, experienced Renner would never look in his direction, let alone share some of that confidence he wears like a cloak, so Milo has set his sights on someone else to be his first.
Until Renner offers him private lessons in seduction…

Okay, I confess, I’ve never read a Tessa Bailey book before, which means this series is totally new to me. But even though I’ve started at the end, I have no regrets. None. Because regardless of what’s gone before, this is a sexy M/M romance that is hot, sensual, emotional and dirty and pure, unadulterated enjoyment. I loved it.
Renner is an alpha boss, he’s out and confident in himself, but mostly he’s a workaholic who has no time for friends, relationships or any of the warmer emotions of life. He does hookups and runs his factories and doesn’t care that no one likes him. Well, he might care a little bit, but since he thinks Milo is straight, he prefers a snarky, hands off approach.
Except Milo isn’t straight. He’s currently feeling rather curious because he fancies a guy and for the first time feels like he knows who he is. And as much of a jerk as Renner can be, Milo admires his confidence and wants to learn from it. Or so he keeps telling himself.
I liked Milo. He’s everything that Renner isn’t – friendly, open, curious. He has friends, he bonds easily with people and he’s not afraid of deeper emotions. I also loved that this is not a Gay For You story, based purely on his attraction to Renner. Milo fancied another guy first and that’s what made him question his sexuality. Having said that, considering he was only ever with women before Renner, I’m surprised no one – absolutely no one – raises the question of him being bisexual. Everyone just accepts he’s gay now, despite showing no signs of it before, because you can only ever be one or the other. I also found the ending a bit too cheesy for everything that had gone before, and really not in keeping with Renner – or his relationship with Milo.
Those things aside, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I liked both Renner and Milo and I loved how they were together and how they almost accidentally fell into their relationship with its D/s undertones. Their encounters are hot and fully charged, their chemistry is undeniable and the emotional connection was believable. Overall this was a great read, absorbing from start to finish. I think I’m going to have to explore more from this author.
Wound Tight is out December 5th.
