Title: Surrender to Sin
Author: Nicola Davidson
Series: Fallen #1
Genre: Historical Erotica
Available: 12th Dec
To save her, he must ruin her.
Lord Sebastian St. John, dedicated bachelor and a co-owner of Fallen, the most scandalous pleasure club in London, is known as Sin for good reason. Orphaned by a shocking accident, Sin long ago vowed a life of solitude and decadence. Yet when Lady Grace Carrington begs for his help destroying her reputation, Sin can’t turn the ton’s most proper lady away.
Obedient daughter, wife, and young widow, Grace has had enough of being controlled. After her father arranges a second loveless marriage to an eminently respectable ancient, Grace plans a fortnight of defiance and self-ruination to stop the wedding. But as Grace enters the heady, risky world of an affair with Sin, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him— and she soon realizes two weeks won’t be nearly enough.

Sexy and sinful, this erotic historical should come with its own fan – whew! The story itself is a fairly familiar one, with a less-than-wealthy widow being forced into an unpleasant marriage by an uncaring father. Luckily for her, her companion knows of someone who can help her – Sinful Sebastian, part owner of London’s most scandalous club.
This book is about sex. There’s a lot of it, and it’s raunchy, no-holds-barred stuff. These two don’t really bother much with introductions and although there are a few moments of unexpected sweetness as their relationship deepens, everything about them is based on sex and there isn’t much room for anything else.
Which isn’t a bad thing, because this book is delicious and decadent as well as sexy and scandalous. The whole plot that brings Grace to Sebastian’s door is rather predictable and the history is used more as wallpaper than an accurate setting. But I did like Sebastian’s background and his little crusade, and the club was good fun packed with interesting characters.
So if you’re looking for a short, sexy read and can overlook a lot of unhistorical language, then give this hot read a go. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this series.
Surrender to Sin is out December 12th.
