Free-spirited Bec Watson was never having children––until she is. No way she’s ready for this, and she’s not going to tie-down the father, not even (especially!) if he’s secretly an English Lord. She’s doing this solo, which means she needs help from the one place she swore she’d never return…Wishing Bridge Farm. Home.

Lincoln Mathews has never known love, only responsibility. And now his family home and business is at jeopardy unless he finds a solution. Fast. Their idea? Marry for money. But the girl who stole his heart is carrying their child. His first mission? Follow her to Wishing Bridge Farm. But soon he’ll have to choose between duty to his relatives and love for the real family he never thought he could have.

After reading and enjoying Falling for the Best Man, I really thought Piper would be the Watson sister I liked least. Turns out Bec is worse. Her lack of maturity made me feel seriously sorry for that baby she’s carrying. I know she’s only twenty-two, but my word, she’s annoying.

The whole issue around the photos and her running away and keeping the truth from Lincoln when he turned up was bad enough. The way she refuses to even consider giving him a chance because, well, I’m not even sure what her reasoning was. Something to do with her having no one growing up and, boo hoo, something something, better this way.

Nope. I do not have the energy to deal with this level of nonsense.

Lincoln was better, despite not feeling the least bit British (the name alone didn’t work for me – as a surname, sure, but an aristocratic first name… no), but I also think he could do so much better than Bec, so I didn’t want to find out how he somehow convinces her to grow up and stop being such a brat.

As such, I couldn’t muster the interest to keep reading. Sorry, but this one just wasn’t for me.

The Wedding Planner’s Baby is out April 10th.
