Jake, Liam and Sarah are back – and this time it’s camping! Yes, the Creeper Files return with another fun-packed adventure tale that puts plants and peril in the same creepy category. After the events of the previous book, and fed up of not being believed by anyone, the trio have opted to take a break on a school camping trip.
Yes, a camping trip, close to a forest… What could possibly go wrong?
Plenty, of course, when your nemesis is half-man, half-plant, and all out for revenge. But that’s all part of the fun in this second enjoyable adventure. There are lots of activities to go wrong, a fellow classmate who is not that friendly, an exceedingly annoying camp worker, a strange tent in the middle of the trees and much, much more. If you – or someone you know – liked the first book, you’ll definitely enjoy this.
Personally I found Liam a little too annoying at times, although he is still funny at others, and I was a little confused as to how Jake forgot all about the incident with the weed, but otherwise this was great. The trees were creepy, Lucy Ebrey’s illustrations were spooky and the ending was exciting. Overall this series is so much fun and highly recommended to young readers looking for fun as well excitement in their next read.
